Our Selected Hotel in S.Martino in Passeiertal
Hotel St. Martin South Tyrol / Hotel Quellenhof in Passeier
The hotel Quellenhof is located in Passiria Valley. The spirited village of St. Martin is located in the heart of the Passiria Valley, 16 km away from the city of Meran and has approximately 3029 inhabitants. The Name of St. Martin was coined by the 12th century parish church that is consecrated to Saint Martin. Through the centuries, the biggest locality of the valley arose around this church. Even today, plenty of important pieces of antique art can be admired. St. Martin is also a place with a fine tradition and numerous festivals, like the Mortiner village festival or the annual Martini market. Noteworthy are also the tasty apples that are cultivated in St. Martin. Those apples are said to be the best in the whole of South Tyrol. Amidst breathtaking peaks, the South Tyrolean Mountains assure incredible experiences for climbers and other recreational athletes who like to spend their spare time in nature. Especially those who are looking for long hiking tours will be impressed by the beauty of the Texel Group Nature Park. Lots of picturesque hiking paths and mountain bike trails start from here and the natural landscape is just waiting to be explored. Moreover, the biggest golf course in the North of Italy, called Meran/Passeier, is situated close to St. Martin. At an altitude of 2355m you can visit the highest mine museum of Europe in Schneeberg and enjoy a ride inside the mountain. We also recommend you to visit the old Malerhaus of St. Martin with its precious frescos and to take a walk to the Pfandler meadow.
