Gitschberg The winter sports area around the ski area Gitschberg lies at an altitude of 1.400 to 2.500 meters above Meransen. Directly on the outskirts of the town, two small drag lifts with a practice run each, offer the best start to an eventful week in the snow. The ski area Gitschberg is characterized by broad, easy to view slopes, which leave everyone enough room for a free run. The ski terrain offers both experts and beginners plenty of fun. The ride on the four-seat chair lift ends directly underneath the peak cross where you can orient yourself quite easily in the beautiful mountain region, thanks to the “360°-Panorama platform.“ The panorama view of more than 500 mountain peaks, which are distributed throughout half of Southern Tyrol, the Dolomites, the Zillertal, Stubaier and Ötztal Alps, will surely remain unforgettable. |

Jochtal Here, you will find precisely what one understands by a family friendly ski area: no hubbub, no long paths, uncomplicated access to the winter sports area, the perfect ski area for families! If the run up there in the Jochtal is still too steep for the children, then they can give the practise slopes down in the valley a try first. Three ski lifts are available for beginners, or those who “are a bit rusty”. Three more lifts, including a modern 8-seater cabin car transport the ski enthusiasts in the Jochtal from one piste to the other. New, state-of-the art snowmaking equipment looks after good snow conditions on 21 kilometres of pistes, a new valley run leads directly to the township. |

Seiseralm Europes largest high-altitude alpine meadow landscape is considered to be one of the most prominent natural wonders of the Dolomites. Helm The ski area Monte Elmo is, as the largest in the Land of the Three Peaks, a member of the Alta Pusteria Ski Centre and therefore also a partner in the world’s largest ski carousel, Dolomiti Superski. It is not for nothing that the Monte Elmo resort is considered to be the family friendly skiing paradise in the Land of the Three Peaks. Fantastic ski slopes of all grades of difficulty run from 2,200 metres above sea level down in to the Sesto and Puster Valley. The discerning skier can choose between 3 terrific descents into the valley. The jewel in the crown is the new, spectacular Raut Piste (3.8 km) – a black run from the mid-section on, which due to its aggressive route to the Versciaco valley station is also known as the “Direttissima”. “Ski-babies” and skiing novices can take their first steps on skis on the flat Wiesenlift and Rautlift areas in the care of state certified skiing instructors. |

Klausberg And there you are, on the summit at an altitude of more than 2,500 m, literally "in the clouds". You are only a few minutes from the Klausberg, but you are miles and miles away. Kronplatz The latest lift-systems carry you from three sides of the mountain to the peak of the Kronplatz at 2.275 sea-level. Starting from the top you have various large and well prepared slopes for every skiing-level just waiting for you. You can choose between flat slopes for beginners or very precipitous slopes running to the valley for the experts among you. And all this you can have in one ski-resort. Speikboden Speikboden Bergbahnen is a snow-secure, familiarly skiing-area in the valley Tauferer-Ahrntal. It contains 7 cableways with a total transport performance of 11.900 persons/hour. About 80 hectare of slopes has to offer enough liberty for everyone from the summit (2.400 m altitude) to the valley (950 m altitude). Many alternations of the terrain and very wide slopes make happy beginners and professional skiers. In the summer the Speikboden is a fantastic hiking area! |

Alta Badia The ski-area of Alta Badia is a part of the Dolomiti Superski. It has 450 lifts and 1.200 kilometres of slopes. The slopes in Alta Badia are linked with the Sellaronda and its also possible to reach the Marmolada glacier. This year, the chairlift of Col Alt was replaced by a new gondola. The first chairlift in Italy was built here in 1947. In December, Alta Badia will offer two World Cup competitions on the slope Gran Risa in La Villa: they will take place on Sunday the 17th and on Monday the 18th. |
