Schlern and the Alp of Siusi Alm are the South Tyrol symbols.
Nowhere else the scenery is so picturesque, nowhere else the Dolomites rise up so magnificent like here. The Sciliar, with its Santner top, best enjoyed by sight from the Alp of Siusi, is a natural park and the highest plateau in Europe at the same time.
The plateau is reached only by cable car or by foot, because, this idyllic area is protected from cars and pollution. This beautiful hut attracts walkers on foot and on horseback, with its many hiking trails with breathtaking panoramic views, with the peace of the countryside and the cheerfulness of the mountain dews.
In winter the Alp of Siusi and Sciliar wear pure white. Thanks to its great position, there is always plenty of snow, and this makes the landscape even more idyllic all around the 60 km of ski tracks and cross country skiing.
Fie, Seis and Castelrotto are the municipalities of the Schlern area, also full of first-class hotels with excellent cooking skills and friendly and elegant atmosphere.
